Beautifully written introduction to a series of wounded Marines trying to find the way back to life after months in the hospital and physical therapy.
The stories of the way they were injured are raw, rough, and crude. The heroism in the face of the life altering injuries touching.
The brotherhood, comradeship, loyalty, integrity, support for each other is marvelous, remarkable.. And I loved the ranting between them.
This prequel wakes your interest towards the series, makes you want to read more. It is free on Amazon, so it is easy to see if you like the author's style. I certainly enjoyed it: 4*.
