Former Marine sniper Jack Stone has a new face to go with his new identity, but he can't escape the tortured memories of the woman he left years ago. Then an undercover assignment in Miami puts him close enough to touch her - if only she weren't under suspicion.
When Sophie Moreno uncovers evidence linking her employers with arms smuggling - and worse - she realizes the only person she can trust is a stranger with hauntingly familiar eyes.
As Sophie questions her intense attraction to this man and Jack struggles not to blow his cover, they must race against the clock to stop terrorists from killing scores of people - starting with them.
Sophie and Jack's story is addictive with heart-raising action, and bittersweet romance.
The suspense is tense, with constant action and danger to life, it kept my attention. The multilayer plot, with traitors, moles, drug lords with their militants, leeks within the agency - the story has all the elements to bring up the heat, the strain of suspense, and make it incredible, fasten-your-seat-belts ride.
The love, connection between Jack and Sophie was built long time ago, in their teens. Now, in a strange situation with Jack's new face and name, Sophie feels the familiar connection with an apparent stranger. With their memories from the past running in their minds, the dangerous, life threatening situation they are in, doesn't weaken the strength and power of their commitment and love that rekindles.
What a read, it kept me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails! Absolutely fab read for all romantic suspense fans, highly recommended with five spoons, and an eager mind to get the next one in the series into my hands!
