Fiery, fervent action, intense suspense, with scorching hot romance, mixed with touching, inspirited moments opening up and sharing heart's sorrows and secrets. This story wrapped around my heart and I am enamored.
Can you imagine having such a successful writing career that you have a second generation of characters getting their own books?! I absolutely love that and Mark Taylor and the banter and bond between him and his brothers as well as the parents in two previous generations. He has grown up to be the man to fulfill all the expectations and is definitely hero-material if anyone is. Amy Hall is passionate about her art and about her grandmother. Someone is playing dangerous games at her grandmother's land, setting up fires, damaging property, and now it has escalated to murder. More than once is Amy's life in danger, and when the second body is found, chills ran down the spine, as it seems Amy might be a target as well... From the first moment when Mark and Amy meet they connect. The attraction is palpable and undeniable, but they have a deeper connection as well that helps them open up and share deep dark thoughts that are shadowing their minds and affecting their lives. There is a moment when Mark opens up about his grief for his grandfather, which resonated with my heart. [Who knew that I was going to get so comforted for my sorrow of my father's passing by a romantic suspense story?!] Julie Miller wrote directly to my heart, the words I needed to hear. A fabulous start to The Taylor Clan: Firehouse 13 series, a story filled with action, both romantic and suspenseful, moments where hearts and lives are on the line, moments were opening-up and sharing from the heart brings growth, vibrating life. Highly anticipating the next installment while excitedly recommending the current one... ~ Five Spoons! The Taylor Clan: Firehouse 13
