In this sexy Whisper Creek romance for readers of Kristan Higgins, Susan Mallery, and Molly O’Keefe, a red-hot cowboy uses some Montana magic to give a reclusive beauty her happily ever after.

Yoga instructor Jessalyn Alcott radiates peace, calm, and serenity—on the outside. Inside, she still feels like the broken, desperate girl from the trailer park. She’s got dark secrets she can’t share, which is why she never lets her relationships go beyond the third date. But when she travels to the Whisper Creek dude ranch for a friend’s wedding, Jess is enchanted by a cowboy whose deep blue eyes, dimpled smile, and rock-hard body make it tough to remember why she keeps running scared.

Cole Driscoll has struggled to find his place on a family ranch where he’s always played second fiddle. His future might be uncertain, but he’s sure of one thing: He wants Jess by his side. Easier said than done. When it comes to getting close, she’s full of excuses, and he longs to fix the hurt he sees in her eyes. Now that she’s at Whisper Creek, there’s nothing he wants more than to break down the walls around her heart and heal her pain with the power of love.

Could there be more perfect man, than Cole, the cowboy?! And yes, he has his faults and weaknesses, but he is caring, loving, tender, dependable, and then some. He is restless in his skin at the ranch, wondering if he is just settling down in his life, or really going after what he wants. I love the family unit that they are, how they are there for each other, have each other's back when needed, and giving each other hard time when it's called for.
Jess has had a terrible childhood, she has experienced things that no one ever should, in the hands of the people who should be there for you, love you, and protect you. The reflections back into her childhood are heartbreaking, raw, and cruel. She has come far from that place of cruelty she grew up in, emotionally. There were such a deep scars in her mind and body from those tender years, and facing her nightmares again, will finally start the true healing.
Together Cole and Jess are adorable. They have a bond, chemistry, and connection. They are fun, delightful, and cute. They make a great team, and just get each other. I loved the communication between them, the long talks they were getting to know each other, building the trust, falling in love.
This story had me in tears from the pain of the memories Jess has, it made me smile and sigh from the absolutely swoon worthy scenes, that Cole and Jess create together. The characters are developed, likable and admirable. The life they have lived has not been easy, but they have made the best of it. The story surely made an impact, and will stay with me for a long time
