“Ella mine…”

Years ago he’d loved her, then one traumatic event made him walk away to forge ahead in a dangerous career that had him skimming the edge of being a killer. Now working for an elite security company, he’s never forgotten her, the echoes of Ella buried deep in his heart and memories, locked safely away.

Seeking revenge on those who’d betrayed her, the last thing Ella expected was to come face-to-face with the man who’d shattered her heart. But here Ryan was, determined to be her protector, and equally determined to once again be a part of her life…and her lover. But the echoes he’d left behind were both sweet and soul destroying.

Playing a dangerous game, getting information from a friend delving into the Dark Web, being an anonymous AFP informer to bring down an underage sex ring, she had no idea just how much everything was going to change.

For good or bad, the rules are altering, and every echo is becoming reality.

I fell in love with Angela Verdenius' writing and the way to tell stories from the very first book I read from her. The stories are fun, emotional, filled with charming characters, the best of friends, curvy women, people who are like us, who are easy to relate to, and who are so appealing, who you want to cheer for, and love seeing them find the happily ever after. Her books are the ones that I go to when I hit a reading funk because I know I will fall in love with reading all over again through her stories. The Australian life and cultural vibes fascinate me, the cat lovers make me smile, there is a lot to smile and sigh about these stories, but they are not all just comedy and cheer, there is also deep emotions that touch my heart. And with Echos, there is also an intense darkness, danger, suspense, and action that just delighted me even more as a romantic suspense fan while the pain of the past history between Ella and Ryan just shattered my heart.
I love Ella and Ryan, and the raw honesty between them, the connection, the understanding, the humble way Ryan owned up to his past mistakes, the forgiveness, and redemption, the sizzling chemistry, they were so immensely perfect for each other it was delightful to watch them find each other again, and reawaken the old feelings.
Ryan's need to be in control, his commanding ways, and inner turmoil, it all just turned into this tender, loving, caring, protective, sweet man when Ella was around. Ella was way over her head with the secret revenge she was plotting with her friend, yet she was determined to find justice and to play her revenge on the secret club.
This story was so engaging I stayed up until the early morning hours to read it. I loved the romance, and how Ella and Ryan worked the emotions and feelings between them from the past and the present.
A lusciously delightful, alluringly intense, humorously entertaining, and so adorably sweet and heartwrenching, dark and dangerous, a story that captivated my mind, and made me not only sigh and swoon and smile but also tear up, and bite my nails in fright.

A member of both the Romance Writers of Australia & the Australian Romance Readers Association, I live in Australia, where I am happily ruled by my cats. When not procrastinating and sneaking peeks at books, or at work as a nurse, I can usually be found at my trusty computer… procrastinating by playing on the internet…
I started writing sci-fi romance some years ago before spreading my wings and writing contemporary romance . But there’s always room to spread my wings further!

So, apart from romance, I also wrote a short horror story (Zombie Hospital - I mean, get it? I love zombies and I'm a nurse...I was influenced by night shift, I tell you!) I love supernatural horror films (not slasher...they make me queasy and cringe) and I stand up and say proudly - ZOMBIES RULE! They are truly the coolest of the monsters.

Reading has always been my escape, writing my dream. Horror, crime, mystery, thrillers, humor, myths, legends, fantasy and history ,there are no limits to the wonders to be found. And romance? Well, that adds the spice, hope and happiness ever after…
