A fun summer read, filled with sizzling scenes, tempers flaring, superheroes, and lifelong friends.
I love the way Melanie Shawn created the small towns their romances are set, I am keen to live in any of the places, to mingle with the people, and be part of the scene. As you read the story, you feel like you know them like they are your friends, you feel their sorrow, fear, and joy, and as the series unfold, you get the feeling like you have known them all your life like you were there witnessing it all happen.
Harmony and Hudson take the heat level to another, higher, atmosphere. Both being alpha type personalities, used to be in charge and in command, the battle of minds is to be expected, as the sexy scenes are smoldering hot.
There's more to the relationship than just the physical yearn they have for each other. Harmony and Hudson have known each other all their lives, they grew up in the same small circles in the small town, and over the time Hudson is convinced that he could not make Harmony happy, that she needs to be free to explore the world, free to be able to be the person she was meant to be. Harmony has her work cut out for herself to convince Hudson, that she has changed. But will he believe her, before it is too late, before too many hurtful things have been said?
An array of emotions, from joy, pleasure, and elation, to fear, hurt, and doubt, from laughing out loud to few tears, I went through it all while reading this very entertaining tale of lifelong wishes come through
