Something unexpected and very sinister is going on, as rival gangs and terrorist groups fight for power, with Finn and Amy right in the middle of it.
The suspense is high, constant, and intense in the story, as the events start to unfold. The crimes are very much today's headlines, with terrorist groups, sex slaves, faked death, betrayals, and more. Everything that is happening, seems to be somehow involved Amy and Finn, if in not another way, then as an eye witness. They both have a delightfully sarcastic tone, and skeptical outlook, as they run from one incident to the other, while trying to solve the mystery of someone stealing money from Finn's company. But like saying, it all seems to be connected. The attraction between Finn and Amy is distinct, from the lust filled thoughts with the passionate action, as they fulfill their desires. What starts as a one night stand, develop into more, and feelings start to muddy it all up. The dialog is, especially at the beginning of the book, in need of some finesse, it's at times missing the natural flow of the conversation, and feels stony. The plot is intriguing, and filled with the unexpected. The suspense is energetic, and endless. The lust filled attraction gets credible, as more feelings are in the picture, and Finn and Amy find themselves falling for each other. Interesting, very much up to date, suspense ~ Three Spoons
