Pride tore them apart…

Warrant Officer Honor Girard made the worst mistake of her life in walking away from the man she promised to marry—and she knows it. An attack on base unexpectedly pushes them together and in the aftermath she realizes she can’t let him go a second time. Only he’s not willing to let her back in. After orders send her back stateside she realizes she’s probably lost him forever. It will take either a miracle to bring them back together—or a life-altering tragedy.

Only forgiveness can bring them back together.

Major Liam Magrath lives his life on the edge, flying dangerous missions with the Army’s elite Night Stalkers. Since losing Honor he’s been totally focused on his career, his missions and the welfare of his crew. Then she’s suddenly thrust back into his life and tells him the last thing he expects to hear: she wants another chance. Losing her once was hard enough—giving her another shot isn’t an option. He’s determined to keep his heart walled off from the only woman he’s ever loved, until a catastrophic terrorist attack on American soil changes everything. Now that he’s finally made up his mind to go after her, however, it may be too late. Liam is determined to fight for her at all costs—but first they’ll have to fight for their lives in a disastrous attack that hits far too close to home.

What an amazing ending to an outstanding series!
I love Kaylea Cross' suspense and military series, and Bagram Special Ops is my favorite military series. It is well written, with engaging tales, characters that you can't help but admire, and stories that stay with you. I have cheered for the good guys, and bitten my nails off with the action and drama unfolding, swooned for hero, heroines and the sweet, tender fragile romances between them. And given a standing ovation to the loyalty, braveness, and camaraderie of the troops.
Collateral Damage is the story of Honor and Liam. And it is an emotional journey, roll-a-coaster of feelings, heartbreak, and hurts, as well as deep passion, love, protectiveness, and devotion.
The choices they make, the difficult situations they face, the way they have to go through agonizing times of waiting, growing, and realizing the priorities in their lives, left me in tears. But the good, tender, and sweet times are so potent, so breathtaking, they are well worth the sleepless night I spent with this book. Both Honor and Liam made mistakes, and finally owned up to them. They are strong, capable, brave and professional, protective and loyal, not a afraid to stand up and go for action when it is needed.
The action is so fierce, raw, and bloody, it left me gasping. The pictures, images, the author paints are so real, I could feel the fear, agony, and terror. Part of the story is told from the villain's point of view, giving the story more depth and broader view of events occurring.
I whole heartily recommend Bagram Special Ops series, or any of Kaylea Cross' books. If you like stories with a mix of action, suspense, and romance, where the heroines are strong and capable to kick ass as well as the heroes, characters that are not perfect, and willing to work on their weaknesses and failures, where the steaming hot romance is completely swoon worthy, and action makes your heart race, these books are for you.
The story of Liam and Honor was well worth the wait, and absolutely a perfect ending for this fantastic series
