A killer stalks Eagle Mountain…
And a visiting lawman is determined to protect the next target… Emily Walker is back home for her brother’s wedding. The joyous occasion is marred by a blizzard, a murderer on the loose…and Brodie Langtry, the man who broke her heart. As he searches for the Ice Cold Killer, Brodie becomes convinced that Emily is his next target. How can he protect a woman who wants nothing to do with him—a woman he’s terrirfied to let out of his sight?
The taunting and an arrogant serial killer that has played havoc in the small mountain town in the middle of a blizzard, wedding arrangements, and the road closes has to be stopped, no matter what. I read this last installment of the engaging series on one sitting. It is fast-paced, with fierce action and suspense, and a potent love story of second chances, the story moving on with vigorous scenes, making it unputdownable.
The things are finally moving in the right direction, catching the killer, and stopping him, is the main priority, so that life can continue and the town can heal from the tragic losses of several women in their community. The last person Emily Walker expected to run into during her hometown visit was Brodie Langtry, the man who broke her heart. Oh, the chemistry and tension between Emily and Brodie were sizzling, and the hurt from the past was tangible in the pages as I inhaled the words, hoping them to find harmony and peace again. The hunt for the killer comes up, close, and personal with Brodie and Emily, it puts everything and everyone in danger and stopping him without more casualties seems impossible. I have enjoyed this series from the start, the characters, the romance, the hunt for the killer, the setting, the danger from nature, all playing such an important and unique part of the outcome. I can highly recommend the series for a wintery binge-reading session, as the icy mix outside keeps piling on...
