For the past year he and Shannon have been getting along like gangbusters, but as the holiday creeps closer tension invades their relationship. He’s at a loss as to how to fix it. Until he makes a risky gamble. Chad doesn’t know why Mercy is having problems at school. Maybe with a little intervention from Santa they can get to the bottom of her situation. Duncan Wilde runs herd on his group, putting out fires as they come along. But maybe a special Christmas present from the group will make him look at life with fresh eyes I love the Lost and Found Series, and when you mix a suspense series with a Christmas novella, you just about have it all. And what a sweet novella this is. If you are a fan of the series, it is a must read. No, there's no action in this one, the violent kind, but many of the characters of this delightful series take a huge step forward in their lives in this story. It brought smiles, a sigh, and a couple tears. It is adorable and lovely, and certainly gets you into the holiday spirits with its message of love and joy. Absolutely a pleasure ~ Four spoons!

![]() Sergeant Melody Finnegan has never felt good enough—not for her family, not for her career, and especially not for First Sergeant Jason Stewart. But she was there for him once, on a night when he had no one, and she’s never forgotten the way he made her feel. Jason has hated the holidays ever since his ex-wife took their four-year-old daughter and left on Christmas day. But while he may not believe in the holiday spirit, he does believe in his men. And this year they could use something to cheer them up more than ever before. When Jason is called on to play Santa at his unit’s Christmas party, he has no choice but to accept, especially because this could be exactly what he’s been wishing for… a second chance with Melody. Overabundance of drama and trouble, they just have to decide, if it is all worth it for the love they have for each other. Because Melody and Jason do have a steaming hot connection and attraction. It started a long ago, with only looks and flirting, but just recently they 'found' each other again. And they promise to be open and honest with each other in this relationship, since it will be hard anyway with the military protocol. But outside forces don't make their new relationship easy. Jason's ex with her friends are just determined to break them apart, and go to extreme measures to accomplish this. And Melody has a secret that is causing them trouble, mainly because of how she reacts to it, not necessarily what the secret is. The romance, the relationship was interesting, steamy, and cute. Jason and Melody were really fascinating characters, and the army protocol details were interesting. But there was just overabundance of the drama and trouble, it became too much after a while. ~ Three Spoons ![]() He was hired to protect her. Watching gorgeous Gwen Hawthorne wasn’t a hard job—but it certainly was tempting. Chance Valentine had tried to keep his distance from the sexy socialite for years, but when her father hired him to keep watch on her—as a twenty-four, seven bodyguard—Chance knew his control was about to be pushed to the limit. He’d never wanted another woman the way he desired her. Hot. Intense. Consuming. Being so close to Gwen, Chance knew that he wouldn’t be able to resist her. So he gave into his need, her need, and he took them both to the edge of a dark and consuming desire. But Chance soon realizes that he isn’t the only one watching Gwen. Someone else is out there, a stalker who won’t rest until Gwen is destroyed. Every day, every moment…Gwen is in danger. And Chance knows that if he can’t unmask the stalker, then he may just lose the only woman he has ever loved. Intense. The story is built with intense suspense, action, fear, feelings, obsessions, relationships... So many layers in the story, so many vivid, deep, energetic, dark feelings. Chance and Gwen have loved each other for a long time, but is love enough, when you have a history of secrets, lies, and heartbreak? They have chemistry, they burn like a fire together, but is the fire just a hot flame, to be out soon, or will it last? The stalker seems like an open and shut case, until things get out of control even more while the suspect in custody. The story has so many aspects, the intensity building up to a new level towards the end. Nothing seems sure, not a thing is guaranteed. The images are heightened, the action is rough. This is the book 1 on the new series Dark Obsession, and that gives you an accurate picture of the book. First time ever I could have given just a one word review, you guessed, intense. Even so intense, that I had to walk away from it for a bit, because it started to seem like too much anxiety. But a great story, fantastic start to a new series, that I'll be sure to keep an eye for ~ Four spoons ![]() Brady Donovan had never had a real home until the day he met Lloyd Langley. But it wasn’t the rambling, warm ranch house that made him feel he’d finally found a place to belong, it was Lloyd’s granddaughter, Taylor. The curvy woman was beautiful and selfless, always taking care of others without a thought for herself. When her grandfather died, she had only Danny—her older, reckless brother who wanted to leave and ride the rodeo circuit. Brady had to make a choice—stay with the woman who held his happiness in her hands, or keep her wayward brother from harm. Fighting his feelings for her, he leaves. Taylor tried to hate Brady for taking her to his bed, then taking off without a word, but one look at his darkly handsome face told her hate wasn’t exactly what she was feeling. Having him under her roof, even if was only for the holidays, was sorely going to try her resolve to keep her distance. Especially when he was so darn helpful—taking over her chores, keeping her brother in line, and getting her the most beautiful Christmas tree. Then making the most delicious love to her under it. But he was still going to leave again—wasn’t he? Taylor is just trying to survive, the ranch, irresponsible older brother, heartbreak, loneliness, and the financial struggles. There's lots of obstacles in her way, but she is making the most out of her life as it is. Brady thought he was doing just what she needed at the time, when he left to keep an eye on the trouble causing brother. He cared for Taylor, and the absence really made the heart grow fonder. The homecoming is ardent, and Brady truly is making every effort to help Taylor where he can. He's so caring, attentive, loving. And with a little push from the friendly neighbor, they are finally also communicating, and telling each other about their feelings, dreams, and hopes for the future. Christmas is looking like a write-off, until Marshall suggests they make the best of what they have, and work together. The avid outdoorsman has a special touch with people…and with Eliza in particular. Soon she realizes Marshall isn’t just fixing Christmas — but her broken heart, too This story brought up some childhood memories for me, of Christmas celebration in the countryside... A sweet story of group of people in the middle of a blizzard in Montana, during Christmas. How interesting the ways different people react to the fact that slowly they lose all the modern comforts of life, starting with wi-fi and ending up with heat and hot water.. And how they find the joy in the simple things in life, after a little bit of drama. Marshall and Eliza get to know each other while trying to save the Christmas. I wish there would have been more of the development of the relationship, but they seemed well suited to each other, had chemistry, and were just adorable together. Very clean, lovely story of snowbound Christmas in Montana ~ Four Spoons ![]() Finding a curvy cutie hanging out of a kitchen window at three in the morning wasn’t what Kirk expected on a routine check. Amusing - yes, expected - no, exasperating - definitely. Having sworn off all dominant men after a very painful experience, Molly was determined to keep the local cop at arm’s length. He was quietly, intensely alpha, and that made him off-limits. Good intentions aside… Fun, witty, brilliant dialog, with interesting, engaging, and touching storyline. I love Angela Verdenius' Big Beautiful Women series, where the heroines, while independent, strong, and beautiful, are not the picture perfect image from today's media. They are women with real bodies, curves, insecurities, and real lives, who are easy to relate to, and fun to read about. Molly, being abused in her previous relationship, wanted a fresh start, and made it happen in Gully's Fall. While she is fun, joyful, cheerful person, she hides behind the easy smile with some serious scars and insecurities because of her past. Kirk, the steady, even tempered police officer, falls for Molly fast and real. He takes the time, makes the effort, to love her through her fears, doubts, and attitude. Kirk accepts her, and loves her, just as she is, and because of who and what she is. The connection they have is primal, deep, palpable. Passion runs high, devotion deep. The group of friends at Gully's Fall are so entertaining, I absolutely love them. They make me want to be part of the rollicking group. The loyalty and love they have for each other is admirable. An innocent man’s life hangs in the balance. Will she discover the truth before it’s too late? And will she be able to handle the fallout when she does Legal drama with a decorated federal agent as a suspect of a heinous crime. That alone got my interest, but there is so much more into the story, big families, love interest across the legal sides of the story, behind the scenes drama, twists in the plot that kept the interest high... The story has fascinating details of the investigation, interrogation, and legal steps to be taken. The attraction between Chloe and Declan is immediate, but because of the investigation, they can't act on it. I enjoyed how the romance side of the story was played, it was genuine, sweet, as well passionate and loving. Part of the story is also told from the villain's point of view., always adding more depth to the story. The twisted manipulation, lies, and criminal actions are endless, and cruel. He leaves so many victims in the path, just to fulfill his own fantasies, and desires. Yes, the story is from Australian legal and police system, but both the language and the customs were not difficult to understand, the Australian slang kept to a minimum. Even though this story is part of a series, can be easily read as a standalone novel. A captivating and engaging book, that kept my interest from the first page to the last. Just a lovely southern tone comes out of this tale, it makes me miss the Carolinas. You can just about hear the drawl, just waiting someone to say 'bless your heart', in that tone only a southern lady can. Logan is fun, loyal, and determined to get Miranda. Miranda is perfectionist, who fights against what her heart, and body, wants, leading on two men, and can't make up her mind.
