An uplifting, inspiring, and entertaining tale of acceptance, family, falling in love and finding your partner. This story made me smile with its pure and sweet turns of the tale.
There is something to be said about the Amish entrepenual skills and determination to succeed. The way the whole crew works together for the good of the family is admirable. I loved the natural and authentic connection between Esther and Gabe. They were like the two parts of one as they worked together, with their interests, and skills. Their desire to better their communication, Gabe's determination to learn sign language, and the research he did to possibly make Esther's life easier were endearing. They talked about the problems they faced, they apologized when needed, they forgave any crossings, and learned from their mistakes. An inspiring, endearing, and captivating sweet tale of love filled with delightful romance and informing bits of life and challenges a deaf person faces. Life lessons that can be learned from, gaining an understanding that can be extended to also those who do not fluently understand the language spoken around them. ~ Four Spoons with a teaspoon on the side From Harlequin Love Inspired:

An avid reader, Pat longed to write a book, but put her dream on hold as she raised a family and worked in an NICU. It wasn't until 1996 that she began writing seriously. Today, Pat enjoys crafting emotionally satisfying romances where love and faith bring two people together forever.
Can they outsmart a killer
…who’s already escaped justice? The Kentucky Ripper is in prison…or is he? When no one will help Teagan Ray find the man who really abducted her, former profiler Bryson Anton agrees to investigate. But soon their search takes two jolting turns—brutal attacks from a cunning suspect…and a powerful mutual attraction. |
Rarely are the heroes and heroines of romance novels physically impaired, but here he is; Bryson is tough to the bone and more capable than most heroes, and he is in a wheelchair at times. As mobility challenged person myself, finally there was a main character that has the same challenges as I do. I understood him on a different level, his moodiness, his attitude, and what he stood against each day.
Teagan was a fun and humorous heroine. She was full of life, she had endured so much, but she was dealing with it, facing the challenges head-on.
The action is hair-raising intense, the images in my mind were sharp and vivid, the heightened fear palpable.
The story is build so that the plot allows the love story to develop, and the characters to grow. There is not an aspect of the tale that I didn't enjoy and the Justice Seekers is a series I can highly recommend, just be prepared for an addictive, explosive, tension and danger-filled entertainment

Not needing him won’t stop her from wanting him…
Trucker Sterling (Star) Parson is no stranger to the challenges a woman faces, both in her industry and in life. But she can take care of herself. She’s never needed—or wanted—a man around...until she meets Cade McKenzie. The take-charge bar owner sets off all kinds of alarm bells for Sterling, but he also sets her heart racing. Cade’s lived in Ridge Trail long enough to know trouble when he sees it, and the moment Sterling—Star—walks into his bar, he knows trouble’s come to call. Secrets run deep in the small town and Cade can tell Star’s got as many as he does, leaving him itching to uncover every last one. But finding common ground will mean trusting one another, further feeding an intense attraction that’s growing impossible to resist. |
Everything about the story is intense: the tempo of the tale, the relationships between the whole cast and crew, the tangible connection of the hero and heroine, the love scenes, the environment the story unfolds in, the McKenzies family, and the work they do, the story unfolds like an explosive thunderstorm that puts you on the edge at the same time as you can just admire the beauty of it. You have to pay attention and focus your mind, read the nuances, and interpreted the twists and turns of the plot cause the McKenzies are moving at their own speed and do not temper it for anyone.
Sterling (Star) Parson and Cade McKenzie have such smoldering chemistry that I am surprised it didn't melt my Kindle. The connection between them is natural, it was like they were meant to be together, and they had been on a journey to meet each other all their lives. Their destinies were entwined, and their feelings grew authentically. With the detailed, ardent love scenes the readers get to witness their emotions get involved and feelings grow, alluring, and dazzling, they captured my mind.
The riveting suspense and up close and personal action are palpably edgy and horrifyingly intimidating as they are fighting against human traffickers, the lowest scum on earth. The culprits are creepy, and the violence is unavoidable, the fight is fierce, and the women are right there, in the middle of it as well, strong, capable, and equal partners in the fight for justice.
This thrill ride went directly to my emotions with the deep, heart-stirring feels, with the strong family connection, and the loyalty of the team. I was as much charmed and infatuated by the romance as I was on the edge and riveted by the danger and threat.
A marvelous start for the trilogy, a pleasing and satisfying romantic suspense story

One family's long-buried secrets could be the key to solving a shocking murder...
With the holiday season in full swing, Paige Coker is planning a surprise party for her father's retirement when she finds troubling documents that indicate she might not be his daughter at all. Her search for answers is derailed when the event caterer is killed and she becomes the prime suspect. Her alibi is weak, and the police have surveillance footage of a woman at the scene - a woman who looks exactly like Paige. Desperate to clear her name, she reluctantly agrees to cooperate with the private investigator hired by her father. As a Guardian Agency protector, Carter Oakes has worked his share of sensitive cases. Upon meeting Paige, it's obvious she's hiding something and distressed over far more than the death of the caterer. Earning her trust is a slow process, one that's thrown into overdrive when someone tries to kill her. With her life hanging in the balance, Paige and Carter must unravel the impossible mystery of these DEADLY REFLECTIONS. |
The Guardian Agency stories are some of my favorites because there is the perfect balance between the love story and danger and suspense. They are shorter in length and have rescued me from many reader-slumps over time.
Carter Oakes is a smart, kind, and considerate gentleman, who protects and solves problems for a living, and can be tough and rough if the job requires it. And Paige Coker can use all the help offered in the situation she is in.
The fact that Paige is in serious trouble was intriguing, and that the detective who was focusing on her was her friend added another level of thrill to the tale.
I liked the connection between Paige and Carter, it was natural, it was tangible, and it was believable. They clicked on many different levels, and I truly reveled them two together.
The stress is high, the solutions are out of the box, the threat is real, and the danger finds them no matter how well they hide.
A thrill ride of a suspense tale mixed with a sweet love story is the perfect read for a cold winter night, it is a riveting, emotional, and delightfully captivating story.

Gavin Zimmerman. Military codename: REDWOOD.
This former Special Forces soldier will protect Oak Creek from any threat. Even one that comes in the form of a delicate blonde with haunted eyes. A tiny town in Wyoming and the fake ID in her pocket are Lexi Johnson's last chance. She's used her all her resources to escape the danger that hounds her. A danger the whole world would agree she brought on herself. She just wants a chance to start over, to rest for a moment, but the town's upstanding and oh so sexy sheriff is determined to get to the truth behind her lies. Even if it gets them both killed. |
I have liked Gavin since he for the first time showed up with the Linear Tactical series. He is a man of law and order, organization, and straightforwardness, rough around the edges, a person who doesn't trust easily. It is pure karma that the person he falls for is the one with the most secrets to hold.
Lexi had a lot of redemption and forgiveness to earn from her previous appearance with Linear Tactical guys, yet I had no ill feelings towards her. The way she was presented, it was natural for me to feel sympathy towards her and be on the team Lexi from the start.
Redwood runs parallel to the past stories from the LT series yet they are so brilliantly entwined within each other, giving a fresh point of view to the events, that I was mesmerized and hooked throughout the tale. I loved that the LT team with their spouses were present and witnessing the happenings of the developing relationship, and there to support them when things go astray.
I loved how this story pulled me and my mind and feelings into the tale of danger and romance so completely that I forgot the world around me. I devoured the tale at once, I could not put it down and didn't want to leave Oak Creek once it came to the end. If you love romance novels with deep feels, beautiful, meaningful love scenes, a love story that is spiced up with a touch of danger and suspense you are going to adore the Redwood and the Linear Tactical series, I myself, am enamored.
