SHE'LL PROVE TO BE HIS BIGGEST RISK YET...
Amelia Bailey's not the kind of girl who usually needs rescuing...but there are anything but usual circumstances.
Utter chaos and lawlessness all around them, after an earthquake destroys an island of paradise.
I was pulled into the exiting, devastating story from the page one. The rescue attempts after the earthquake are heartbreaking and agonizing. The story is told from several points of view, by the medical staff, military personnel, rescue dog handlers, and the victims. The picture of the devastation, sadness, and despair is raw and real, the feelings of misery and sorrow are tangible. In the midst of all the gloom, three couples have to face their own past, their own pain, failures, and memories. When nothing but sadness is all around them, they find the beauty and joy in connection, love, and passion. In a beautiful way, the author manages to put a little humor into the dialogue, despite the dire surroundings
Just when you thought, the worst is over, and they might survive, the terrible crimes and actions of human traffickers puts their future happiness in danger again, with force that puts lives in danger, facing the unthinkable.
Captivating and intriguing story, that kept me clued to my Kindle. Fascinating twists and turns in the plot, several touching story lines twined together, making an unforgettable, compelling story
