Hope Seaver is an up-and-coming TV producer tackling the hardest gig of her career: a reality show set at the Buoys, a scenic fishing destination owned by three handsome, stubborn brothers. Liam and Finn O’Donnell are willing to tolerate her crew for the sake of the business, but Ronan would rather chew off a limb than open up on camera. Somehow Hope has to convince him of her good intentions—and stop herself from swooning every time Ronan walks into the frame.
Ronan knows that he’s the reason his brothers gave up their old lives to run the Buoys, and he needs to make it worth their while. So if this out-of-towner with the kind eyes and dazzling smile wants to give them the free publicity they desperately need, Ronan can’t say no. He just won’t let himself get burned again by a double-dealing woman. But what if Hope’s good-girl routine isn’t an act? When Ronan lets his guard down long enough to catch a glimpse of the real Hope, he likes what he sees—enough to give love another shot.
Guys y'all, I love, love, love this series!!!
I adore absolutely everything about the stories of the O'Donnell brothers, I love how tight they are, how they always back each other up, how they never ever let anyone hurt the other if just possible. I love the humor and snark in the dialog, so sharp and smart, yet never hurtful. I love the island, or peninsula, where they live, their lifestyle as fishing guides and hospitality professionals, the ups and downs of the business, and even in that, and especially in that, they stand tightly together. I love what they have made of themselves despite the circumstances with their lives, the childhood they had. And I love how utterly, completely they fall when the right woman comes along. The stories have just the perfect amount of sweet and sassy, that made me smile and even laugh out loud more times than I can admit. You know you relate to the story when you have your hand over your mouth to try and keep the character from saying what is coming out of their mouth. The story had so many swoon worthy moments, I was just sighing and smiling as they fumble with their feelings and try to get it right. And the tale had the heartbreaking moments that I felt that ripped my heart open for them, for Ro and his brothers, the tears were falling and I just wanted to reach out and hug them. Ronan is the fierce protector of the family, the one who has always taken care of others. He has major trust issues, understandably, but his heart is kind and caring, he is passionate and so sexy when he is cooking and baking, yes, he completely stole my heart. Hope is all alone in the world and her envy of the O'Donnell brothers closeness is palpable. She has a heart of gold, she works hard to make the tv show the best it can be, she blurbs out the funniest facts out of her mouth when she gets nervous, and she is not afraid to stand up for herself if the need arise. Together Ronan and Hope were flammable. The attraction between them is obvious to the world to see. It is both adorable and steamy, and in their imperfect ways, they are perfect for each other. When you have a story in your hands that you inhale every word of it, and then you back up because you want to savor the moments and not to get to the end too soon you know you have a winner. The O'Donnell brothers have completely charmed me over the three stories, Catch and Release is going directly to the 'Best of 2017' file. If you read only few romance novels or books in general, a year, I highly recommend you make this, or the whole series, part of your TBR list! I'm so going to miss the gang of the Buoys. ~ Five Spoons
