Becky Holgate's lost her focus. It's complicated...she didn't mean to fall in love with another woman's guy. How could she be a matchmaker for other people if all she could think about was her own heart? Determined to ignore her growing infatuation, she set her sight on building her career. Only Reed Amwell was making it hard to concentrate; every encounter left her breathless.
Reed didn't mean to fall for the curvy girl, but she was carefree, silly, and fresh. Her soft curves and playful heart had him questioning his current relationship. Could he be with the wrong girl? He needed to figure it out fast, because his wedding day was getting closer by the minute.
With a laugh-out-loud best friend, an insane cat, and a business to run, Becky Holgate didn't have time for guys like Reed Amwell...until time was running out.
It's the weekend and I wanted something light and funny to read. Just to enjoy a story, and escape from the life around for a minute.
And I hit the jack-pot with this one, it also happens to be free at Amazon. The link is below, as always.
The story is hilarious and fun read, but it also touches your heart with the emotional ups and downs the characters are going through. It is the first book ever, that I have laughed out loud so that tears fall on my face. And that happen more than once... The ending was not ready chewed for the reader, but realistic and left some for the imagination. I will check out the rest of books from this series as well. I believe the story will continue, even though they can be read as stand-alone books.
Four spoons for this funny tale!
Love is never easy. It’s especially difficult when you love a career Marine. I knew the risk when I said “I do”, but I chose to love Thomas anyway.
War took him from me, and now I’m alone. Struggling and desperate. There’s no hope, no future. Just the endless cycle of day-to-day survival. But a letter returned will change all of that. Hope and companionship, and even love, often come from the last place you’d think to look, when you least expect it.
* * *
I was a lost, broken soul, a Marine tortured by the memories of what I’d endured. When I visited that old farmhouse in rural Texas, all I wanted to do was return the letter. Keep a promise. What I got was healing. Understanding. The chance to find a measure of peace when all I’ve ever known is war.We both lost everything. But in each other, we found something worth fighting for.
What an emotional roll-a-coaster ride this books was for me. I had to 'sleep on it', before writing this review and still it's not coming out easily.
The book is written by two points of view, Derek's and Reagan's, in first person perspective.
When the war, Afghanistan, the battle is seen by Derek's eyes, it was so real I felt like I was actually there in the scene, seeing, feeling, experiencing it all with him. When he and Tom are captured and hold as prisoners of the war, everything Derek experiences is so powerfully described, I was not only in tears, but crying while holding on to my Kindle. Same was with Reagan's loneliness, sadness, and sorrow. It is heart rending, her instincts to survive admirable, her endurance commendable.
They are both so broken, raw, crumbled by the reality, hardship of their life. The scene when Derek and Reagan meet again is gut wrenching, beautiful, agonizing.
I was half way through the story, and I felt I was dehydrated from crying, but even though the tale was emotional, it was also so beautiful and real. I took a break at that point and wondered where will this story go from here, because there was still half of the book left.
But as I continued to read, the whole book's tone changed into a graphic, very detailed, foul language ridden erotica with great length, the first love scene taking over 20% of the over 400 page long novel . And mind you, I'm not spartan. I think beautifully written love scenes are part of romantic novels. I'm all for that passion and sex are included in the book, as long as the book is not written around it nor is the storyline weakened or rushed because of it. I feel like this was the case here. There was very little of the emotional connection Derek and Reagan had, or the connection between Derek and Tommy. How the relationship developed from there was focused mainly on lust and passion. The ending felt rushed on so many levels, and I was left with a feeling that they were together mainly because of the lust and loneliness was too overpowering in their lives. Or was that what the authors were trying to communicate, that the love grew from the passion over the time?
Many times the timeline was rushed by time passing by, and the developments only described by remembering in inner reflections. I felt like I lost the connection I had for the story and the characters in the beginning, and was left with many questions in my mind, wondering.
As the first half of the book was so excellent, I wanted to gather all the spoons in the house and bang them together, and for the second half, all I could just say was 'what happen here', I had think long on how many spoons I will give for Captured. Yes, it is a memorable story, I absolutely loved the first half, it captured me and my mind and emotions, the second half made me think and ponder, take a step back again and evaluate. And now that it has been couple days after I finished the story, the thoughts that I'm left with from this story, convince me that it does deserve the five shiny spoons. This book is something you need to experience yourself, like were Wounded, Stripped, The Missionary from these authors, just be prepared -- they come with a powerful impact, if you let them.
After a drunk driver killed Marcus Ricci’s wife while he was deployed in Afghanistan, he closed up emotionally. Working at Lost and Found, Inc., he lands a puzzling case with too many missing pieces. A killer is closing in on the woman Marcus is supposed to protect. Guarding the beautiful Chris is his job—and he’s one of the best—but keeping her close without letting her inside, makes it hard to protect his heart.
A murderer took the only family Chris Holland had left. When her sister’s killer comes after Chris, she turns to the Lost and Found agency for help. As she and Marcus Ricci dig into her background, they’ll discover surprises that shake everything she believes to be true about her past.
Forced together day and night, passion ignites, and Chris falls for Marcus. He’s a loner and not interested in a permanent relationship. When her case is over, he’ll go back to his solitary life. Just a man and his dog.
While the story, No Chance in Hell, is the goriest in the series so far when it comes to the suspense, the romance is the sweetest of them all. When both sides of the story is mixed, it creates a harmonious, smooth, flowing tale.
The villains are evil, hateful, and heinous. The crimes they commit are malicious, and made my stomach turn from the images the author created. The psychological tension that is build, while you wait for the villain's next move, is substantial. I actually had to take brakes from reading to get my head off the story. It will hunt you.
The cast in the Lost and Found Inc series warms my heart with the love, trust, and confidence they have for each other. Marcus is a true alpha, protective and overpowering, but at the same time pure sweetness, loving, caring, attentive, and affectionate. The way he cares for Diablo, just made me melt.
Chris, like all the women in the series, is a tough, enduring, survival.
The romance, attraction, between Marcus and Chris is fresh and potent, palpable. While the images of the crimes the author created were more cruel than before, so is the love story sensuous, steamy, just HOT!
All these factors mixed into this tale, makes it fascinating, one to be remembered, five shiny spoons!!
It’s hard to feel the romance when you’re being chased through the jungles of Columbia … but it won’t be for lack of trying! When an undercover CIA agent rescues a kidnapped ATF explosives expert, it’s a race against time as they try to stay one step ahead of the Colombian drug lord hot on their trail.
Separately, Harper Tambini and Rafe Silva are lethal… Together, they’re explosive.
ATF Special Agent Harper Tambini is kidnapped by a Colombian drug lord and forced to use her explosives knowledge to kill his competition before she can escape with the help of undercover CIA agent Rafe Silva.
As they make their way through the rivers, mountains, and jungles, their desire for each other detonates. But Harper reminds Rafe of his murdered fiancée and the shadow world he wants to leave.
Harper learned the hard way that men never stay, so now she doesn’t keep them around long enough to see if the sparks can light a fire that will last forever.
In their short time together, can they crystallize a relationship, or will it all blow up?
At first I have to compliment the author with the name of the book, Explosive Combination, rarely is there more fitting name for a book, on many different levels.
The action doesn't build up, it starts from the page one with a bang. From there the life and death situations continue through out the story, keeping the tension up, and interest on the events high.
After Harper is being captured by the drug lord, and put into a 'luxury prison', Harper and Rafe's instant, electric attraction takes hold of them. The pull for each other is stronger than the threat to her life, or him being outed as an agent. The events that follow are nothing short of classic spy movie, high end parties, cartels fighting with each other, dangerous escapes from the numerous villains through the water, air, and jungle.
The allure Harper and Rafe has for each other is captivating, and as they try to fight for their feelings for each other, by just 'scratching the itch' -- not falling for each other becomes a mission impossible when things get soft, tender. and caring. The pull for each other is instant, constant, and overpowering. Even the past disappointments, and future plans, can't hold them apart, as they explore the steamy, sensuous appeal they have for each other.
Everything happens in short period of a time, in just four explosive, tension ridden days, Harper and Rafe goes through lifetime of danger, tension, and feelings.
The story is very detailed in every aspect of the story, adding more depth and insight to the events, if you don't let all the details drown the red thread of the story.
Four spoons for Explosive Combination!
I received copy of this book from the author for honest and fair review.
Ex-Army Ranger Tyrell Castillo’s first mission for Lost and Found, Inc. goes awry when his contact is kidnapped, and he’s left scrambling for weapons and explosives. He’ll have to blow up a drug cartel’s compound, rescue the woman, and keep her safe while they cross the sweltering hot Colombian jungle.
Driven by the need for revenge, Ana Maria Vega Cisneros doesn’t want to be rescued. She wants revenge. She’ll risk her life to ensure the drug lord who killed her family suffers the same fate.
The cartel leaves a trail of blood on their hunt for Ty and Ana. When Ty receives the order to kill the drug lord with extreme prejudice, he and Ana will face the enemy head on. Can Ty protect the woman who’s hell bent on vengeance? The woman he’s grown to love?
Two wounded warriors, from different worlds, trying to find a common ground to build upon, while fighting against heartless, cruel, callous drug-lord and his army.
The suspense gave me angst and jitters, it took a hold of me from the page one, and kept me guessing till the end. It is vigorous and intense, don't take anything for granted.
If I hadn't read the first book of the series, I would have thought all the characters were a bit sour and short tempered, even rude. But the former knowledge of their story confirmed, it was just the stress and tension of the circumstances they were under.
The romance, attraction, between Ana and Ty, was sizzling hot when they were not fighting with each other. The constant pull-push, that even other character in a book mentioned, started to get to me.
But they had the whole world stacked against them, so I looked over it. At the end the love they have for each other conquers all the obstacles, and they get such a sweet happily ever afte
Overall satisfying read, and deserves the four spoons!
When ex-SEAL Nate Wolfe learns a woman from his past is in danger, nothing will stop him from protecting her. Not even her.
Dallas Child Protection Services Investigator Kay Taylor doesn't want or need Nate in her life. But he doesn't seem to understand the word no. He seems to also have forgotten the brand he left on her heart.
When Kay is taken and sold to a monster, the devil himself couldn't stop Nate from doing whatever it takes to find her...but will he be in time?
I went looking for a new romantic suspense series, and was so glad I found Lost and Found Inc team! But don't confuse this with Lost And Found series, that's a different series from different author!
So if you like former military men, who feels their call in life is to make the world a better place, and kick-ass women who are not afraid of action, you will like this series, too!! There is action, suspense, best friends, and second chances in life and happily ever after...
I loved the camaraderie of the old friends, who were willing to do anything for each other, the respect they had for each other and their skills. The occasional banter between them was humorous.
The action, suspense, took a hold of me from the page one. Twists and turns, surprises in the plot kept me guessing for the end result, kept me clued to my Kindle.
The romance of second chances was sweet, as well as steamy. I wished there would have been more detail at the end, of the time when Nate and Kay spent talking and clearing the air from past hurt. That would have given a bit more insight to the couple.
But I truly enjoyed the book, four spoons all the way!
When lone wolf, Navy SEAL Harold “Flash” Carney agrees to act as an undercover operative for the FBI in an international smuggling sting, he revisits a past he hoped to leave behind forever. During the sting his handler is killed. Neck deep in a double cross and cut off from his team, Flash goes on the run with only his training to keep him alive.
Samantha Cross is desperate to leave her past as a battered wife behind, but her ex-husband is attempting to gain custody of their daughter, Joy, to keep them in his life. When her ex turns stalker, Sam is determined to do whatever it takes to protect her daughter and break his hold over them for good.
Despite their mutual wariness, Samantha and Flash are drawn to each other. But trust comes hard. When the walls both have erected start to crumble, trouble surfaces from all fronts, and Flash has no choice but to break away from the ingrained habits of a lifetime to save the one thing he’s always wanted and thought he’d never have—a family
What a beautifully crafted story, where different story lines are through the tale brought closer and closer together until they all bind together. Every new chapter sparked more interest to the story, "one more chapter" until wee hours of the morning when I finished the book.
The stories are heart-breaking, but victorious and alluring. I loved it, when reading in tears, there was suddenly such a funny line, I burst into laughing aloud.
The love stories are passionate, charming, and delicate.
The relationship between Joy and Mr Tim delightful and lovely, the trust and love Joy has for him boundless, while Mr Tim cares for her in such a tender and gentle way.
And once again the brotherhood, loyalty, honor, and integrity of the team is demonstrated.
The suspense is thrilling, edge of your seat, holding your breath type. The violence gory and bloodstained, real.
I've truly enjoyed the series, pretty much inhaled the whole series at once, and I hope there will be more in the future.
Five shiny spoons!
What happens when a Navy SEAL wakes from a month-long coma to discover he’s being investigated for murder?
When Ensign Brett Weaver is accused of murder, he knows he’s innocent, but how can he prove it with Naval Investigators breathing down his neck? A chance meeting with reporter Tess Kelly offers him an opportunity to get the press on his side. But can he trust her to keep his other secrets off the record?

Will her feelings for this wounded warrior win out, or will she release a story guaranteed to destroy Brett’s SEAL career?

Will Brett be able to break through the lasting effects of his injuries and prove he’s once again a battle-ready SEAL? Or will he and Tess lose everything at the whim of a vengeful killer?
The story of the SEAL TEAM continues here, and even though book one did not end with cliff-hanger, this book follows the first story and I wouldn't recommend to read it as a stand-alone.
I'm enthralled with this team, they brotherhood, extended family feel, respect and protectiveness of each other.
On Breaking Through we don't only get the suspense of the war and service in Iraq, but also terrorist attacks at home, political games that are played against the team, and family dysfunctions. Just about all kind of jeopardy you can think of, the team has to face it, deal with it, and find solution. The many narrow escapes of danger builds a spine-chilling adventure.
In this book romance is plenty and with multiple couples. They love completely, passionately, lustfully, and intensely. They are willing to make sacrifices for each other, protect each other till the end, stand by and up to each other, no matter what they are facing.
There was couple times a bit confusion with the timeline, but over all very satisfying continues to the story of the SEAL TEAM.
Four spoons for Breaking Through!!
Hillary hadn’t meant to sleep with Bert Morder. She blamed the lack of public bathrooms, and one too many Jaeger bombs for her even contacting DJ XTC in the first place. Now, thanks to the Internet, and the unfortunate incident of the studio live stream, all of Chicago was wondering exactly who the girl with the red-soled shoe had been. But, just how long can she keep her identity a secret?
I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest and fair review.
Hillary is trying to keep up with her best friend Ivy, with partying, designer clothing, home, job, boyfriends, free drinks at the bar, you name it, she envies it all. The young cast of the radio world seems superficial, frivolous and a bit catty.
From all the characters, Bert is my favorite. He's smart, sensible, sincere, reliable... you name it! True stand up kind of guy, he's easy to love.
With the growing pains to adulthood, Hilary makes some incredible choices, that ricochet to people closest to her, and change her life. Nearly destroying her own, and some loved one's careers. The fallback is heartbreaking, even though she has no one to blame but herself.
Obviously I'm not the target audience for these types of Young Adult stories. And even though I think this book could use some editing and corrections (wrong names at the wrong place), the story did hold my interest till the end. It reminded me of the TV series Gossip Girl in many ways.
So if you like books where the characters are in the door steps to adulthood, trying to figure out their lives, direction of their future, where they party and shop constantly even though they can't afford it, talk and text obsessively, mostly gossiping, and where friends are your worst enemies in so many different ways -- this book is for you!
When LIEUTENANT ADAM “HAWK” YAZZIE rescues ENSIGN BRETT “CUTTER” WEAVER during a mission in Iraq, his faith in his team’s loyalty is shaken. Someone in the team attacked Cutter and left him for dead. But who?
ZOE WEAVER races to her brother Brett’s bedside. He stood by her while she fought her way back from a devastating injury, and she’s determined to do the same for him. Though drawn to Hawk’s good looks and steady strength, she’s reluctant to get involved with a man in uniform. But with Brett lying in a coma, Hawk may prove the key to what happened to her brother.
Hawk is torn between loyalty to his men and his need to see justice done. When he tries to save a troubled teammate’s career, he unwittingly puts Zoe’s life in danger. Can he lead the rest of the team in a rescue operation to save her? Or will one of Hawk's brothers in arms destroy the woman he loves
This book was everything I want from romantic suspense story!
It took a hold of me from the first page, and kept it through the night until I finished it.
The author builds up both romance and suspense in such a clever way through the story.
And the suspense was intriguing, it kept you guessing of the twists and turns of the plot.
The romance was sweet as well as steamy, the attraction intense. There was a lot of pull-push in the relation from both of their part, things they had to work out.
What I liked about the story is that none of them were perfect, they had some real issues, real problems, that the whole cast of characters had to work through. The military camaraderie, brotherhood, ultimate trust to each other, was put into a test in this story, but in the end it prevailed.
Investigative reporter Brianna Tate has stumbled upon the story of a lifetime but she has no idea it will change her entire life. When the story thrusts her into a web of lies that puts her life in danger, she has to choose between seeing the man she loves destroyed or giving up her whole life to enter WITSEC. After three years of living someone else's life, everything changes when her true identity and location is discovered. She is forced to leave protective custody to save the man she still loves.
Noah Steele owns a successful business with Steele Security, providing security escorts for the nations' top officials, wealthy elitists, and high-profile visiting dignitaries. What he keeps from everyone in his life is that he never fully recovered from losing Brianna. He shares a bed with other women but never his heart. Noah's life now revolves around his work until the night he stumbles upon an intruder in his house and learns that intruder is actually his long-dead love, Brianna.
With her sudden reappearance, Noah discovers the passion that once fueled their relationship is still there, burning hotter than ever. However, even love can't erase the betrayal Noah experiences after learning that Brianna faked her death and has been in hiding this whole time. Noah must decide if he can accept that she betrayed him and caused him the worst pain in his life. Learning that she has been alive and seemingly fine without him may be more than he can take.
Brianna's relationships with everyone at Steele Security is teetering precariously on a ledge. Loyalty and honesty is key with the men who once looked at her as a sister but now openly distrust her. Can they work together to identify the real threat, save his business and their own lives? Or will Noah lose the only woman he's ever loved, twice in one lifetime, in his fight against the tangled web of lies and betrayal that surround him?
This is the book one in the series, but through the whole story, there is so much reflection and reference to the past, that I felt that I've missed a book or two before. And I have really mixed feelings about it, because some parts were good, some just odd (military/CIA/security personnel being insulted and furious with the idea of Brianna having to go to witness protection), some a bit, or a lot, rushed (where did eight weeks disappear?).
Even though the tension, suspense, starts from the page one, and when it happens, it is explosive, frenzied, and violent, the main focus of the tale is the tragic, bitter-sweet, love story between Noah and Brianna. Love story that is filled with trust issues, questions of forgiveness, and second chances.
To get the whole picture of past, present, and the possible future that seems to be on constant turmoil, there's a lot of reflection. And to keep up with who is doing the current remembering and thinking, you really have to pay attention.
The 18+ warning comes partly from the high heat level the book has. But as I felt rather disconnected from the cast, including Noah and Brianna, I noticed I glimpsed through them. Some of them had a place in the story, some felt like a filler, and
But since the plot itself and the suspense part were good, I'll give this story 3,5 stars.
Book one of new series by a new author to me - will I continue to book two? I don't have any need to rush for it, so not sure at the moment.
Black Ops Inc. #5.5 Black Ops Inc. #5.5 Black Ops Inc. #5.5 David Cavanaugh is tired of his undercover work for the CIA. He desperately wants to retire but when a colleague (Wyatt Savage; Risk No Secrets) asks Cav to find his missing friend (Carrie Granger) he reluctantly agrees. Cav arrives in Myanmar where he discovers Carrie has been caught up in a bungled arrest. To cover up their mistake the government has thrown her in their ruby mines where she labors as a virtual slave. To free her Cav must pretend to work with the corrupt government in Myanmar. Can Carrie learn to trust him or will this rescue mission end in tragedy for them both?
When you think you've read the whole series, and then you find a novella you've missed, it's time for a little happy dance!
David Cavanaugh was part of the story in Whisper No Lies, and Carrie was Wyatt Savage's childhood friend in Risk No Secrets.
Now Carrie is in world of trouble, and Wyatt sends Cav to rescue her.
While on the run for their lives, Cav and Carrie feel instant attraction, resulting in a passionate affair while trying to escape the villains.
The suspense in the story is action packed, the escape from the slave camp like a spy movie scene.
As for the characters, I was happy to visit with some of the Black Ops Inc. cast, even thought briefly.
I loved that the super-spy-alpha-hero Cav was not perfect, but had both physical and mental scars, that he was aware of, and wanted to work with. Carrie had escaped her Georgia-small-town-living to get over her lifelong hopes of future with Wyatt. Those aspects giving this novella a bit of a savory bite.
Cav and Carrie together were tense, wild, and lusciously sweet.
A lot of story was fit into this novella, but I still wished it would have been a bit longer, a bit more in depth. Four stars.
We’re just friends…
Fair and beautiful Becca Sloan was used to saying this to people…and it was true. The youngest of Harper’s Crossing’s Quad Squad, she knew she could always rely on her best friend, Brian. When both Becca and Brian are cast in a dating reality show to find love elsewhere, it becomes clear to them that they may have already found it. With cameras rolling, they’ll have to decide if they should protect their friendship and live un-happily ever after with someone else—or trust in their amazing bond and live happily ever after with each other in a Fairytale Love.
**Author's note: Each book in The Crossroads Series can be read as a stand-alone**
Our tongue has four tastes: sweet, salty, sour, and bitter- I like to call it spicy - and when all these elements are in harmony, comes 'the perfect taste'.
The story is sweet - the friendship Becca and Brian have had since pre-kindergarten is adorable. How they are always there for each other, have each others back, how they center each other with just one look or touch... The list could just go on and on, they are so precious to each other.
It is savory - how Brian takes on his shoulders the responsibility of his family, and the financial burdens, is admirable. How he reacted to his parents illness had me in tears. The first fourth of the book happens in 24 hour period, and mostly focuses on reflection of the past of Becca and Brian's lifelong friendship, how it has developed over the years. Several times I was in tears reading it, it was incredibly touching.
And it is spicy - when Becca and Brian finally come together and admit the new feelings to each other, it is passionate, beautiful, and sensuous.
You also get the hint of the sour, with the reality show storyline, their reaction to the other contestants, the actions they have to take to try to win the show, and what is shown to the audience of the TV show.
The story was so addictive, I read it on one sitting, late to the night (or early to the morning hours). Yes, all the books in the series can be read as stand-alone novels, but I don't know why would you: Crossroads is fresh, adorable romantic series with the perfect balance in taste! Five stars all the way.
Super Agent #4.5
Lucie Morgan has finally found a man who doesn't care she's the daughter of a famous billionaire. All she needs is one weekend to convince him the crush she's had since he rescued her from a terrorist has grown into much more.
Sergeant John Quick has seen the worst in life, both personally and professionally. He long ago decided loving someone comes at too high a price. But when the woman of his dreams "kidnaps" him for a weekend affair with no strings attached, he can't resist.
The smoking-hot weekend turns deadly when John and Lucie are trapped during a blizzard and discover they're not alone. Someone from their past has come hunting for revenge. Now John must become the perfect hostage in order to save Lucie's life.
Not my typical MO to start a new series with book #4,5 -- but first time for everything.
What I enjoyed about this novella, that was a bit different from norm:
- the couple knew each other from before (yes, that happens when you start a series from the middle of one, I know) and had had a few one night flings in the recent year.
The attraction, connection, feelings are strong, and the ending rather sweet.
- there was a fight scene of all fight scenes in this story. Rarely is there one on one combat in suspense stories, that don't involve guns, but here is one, with blow by blow action. That takes some imagination/research I would imagine.
Usually in novella there is focus on either the relationship or the action, there's just not enough pages to focus into both in a novella. This tale was about 50/50 split, with some love scenes that raise the heat level of the story rather high.
John's inner turmoil about commitment, love, family, and home comes to a quick conclusion at the end.
Over all a bit spicy and a bit sweet, could have been more savory: 3 stars.
Now, did this novella intrigue me enough to read the rest of the series? Honestly, I'm not sure about that at this point, but I did liked Misty Evans writing style, so that might tip the scales... We'll see!
The MacKenzie Family Book 14

He owes Declan his life, and Declan more than has his hands full with his own family problems. Little does Archer know he’ll be chasing a would-be recruit all the way to hell and back. Or maybe Alaska just seems like hell.
Audrey Sharpe works for no one but herself. Not even when the most elite security company in the country wants her. She doesn’t have time to worry about MacKenzies. She’s racing against the clock to hunt down the man who taught her everything she knows and to stop him from killing more innocent people. When sexy, but tough as nails, Archer Ryan keeps getting in her way, Audrey has to decide whether he’ll be an asset or a distraction her body and mind can’t afford.
Sizzle left me just that, sizzling and breathless.
Fast, rapid action that made my heart beat faster and hold on to my Kindle a bit too hard. Suspense builds up through the book, and made me hold my breath, waiting for the next turn of the events.
Romance, love, desire so hot, it is -- well, sizzling and searing.
Agony, pain, and sorrow so deep, it brought tears to my eyes.
Five stars all the way!!
Liliana Hart writes skillfully excellent suspense and action stories, never to disappoint. The MacKenzie series was the first one I started with, after I got my Kindle, and was introduced to a new world: receiving books from USA within seconds, instead of waiting for a paper copy for 8-12 weeks.
I highly recommend the MacKenzie series, or any other books from Liliana Hart, to that matter. She writes with passion, humor, and mayhem in mind, and her books are vastly entertaining. She also invest much of herself to her readers, and I admire her talent, commitment, and endurance as a self-publishing author.
